CDH is a compact geothermal heat pump which uses the natural refrigerant R744 – commonly known as CO2. It is able to meet any heating, cooling and domestic hot water production requirements.
Its wide hydraulic configurability allows it to be equipped with electronic pumps, internal modulating 2- or 3-way valves and external auxiliary devices to be controlled autonomously.
Efficiency and sustainability
The CDH heat pump features technological innovations aimed at environmental and energy sustainability. Thanks to the use of CO2, a completely natural refrigerant, it can produce hot water even at temperatures above 80°C, reaching a coefficient of performance (COP) greater than 4 – the highest on the scale.
Patented adjustment
Thanks to the innovative and patented regulation system, CDH controls the operating pressure of the gas cooler, in order to maximise its efficiency, in any produced water temperature and operating conditions.
Operation
CDH heat pump technology.
COMPRESSOR CONFIGURABILITY
Based on the needs and performance required, CDH is equipped with a scroll or semi-hermetic compressor, controlled by an inverter.
MODULATING FLOW CONTROL
Electronic pumps and modulating valves, installed inside the unit, are essentially important to ensure flow rate control at wide delta Ts for the maximum required efficiency.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE REVERSAL
CDH has an innovative motorized valve that reverses the refrigeration cycle and allows it to produce hot or chilled water.
STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATION CIRCUIT
The refrigeration circuit is built with stainless steel pipes and the plate heat exchangers are armored and specifically designed to withstand pressure values up to 130 bar. These specifications are essentially important to guarantee machine prolonged life and resistance to high operating pressures deriving from the use of CO2 refrigerant.
