EKW is a water-water heat pump for the production of hot water up to 80°C, without the use of auxiliary electric heaters. It can use low and medium temperature water sources (even up to 45°C) e.g. from geothermal probes, groundwater or industrial heat waste, with no mixing required at the evaporator inlet.
Available in three versions:
K heating-only heat pump;
H heat pump with reversible refrigerant circuit (on request);
P Total recovery multipurpose for 4-pipe systems (on request).
Booster for hydraulic waste
The possibility of taking water up to 45°C from hot sources makes EKW suitable for industrial heat waste, as it can increase the water temperature up to 80°C. EKW is ideal for district heating or to be integrated in existing systems, with significant benefits in financial and environmental terms.
Total heat recovery
The dedicated refrigeration circuit, by means of a condenser installed in parallel and with total heat recovery, allows EKW to meet the thermal and sanitary needs of residential, commercial and industrial systems, without having to reverse the refrigeration cycle whenever a heating and cooling request is received.
DHW circuit in total recovery or in separate priority mode
In the case of simultaneous cooling, it does not require prolonged heating/cooling or inertial accumulation times that have an impact on energy efficiency, especially in summer.
Operation
EKM heat pump technology.
EFFICIENCY PACK
EKW is equipped with a High Efficiency scroll compressor and can be implemented with a single refrigeration circuit to improve efficiency at partial loads or a double refrigeration circuit to achieve operating redundancy.
EEV
The electronically controlled expansion valve (EEV) maximises EKW performance under any temperature condition, at both source and user end, to ensure consistent efficiency and versatility.
MAXIMISED SOUNDPROOFING
EKW’s low noise operation is guaranteed by the use of soundproofing materials, panels that hermetically seal the refrigerator compartment and dedicated vibration dampers to support the compressors.
